Alternatives to Separation (ATOS)

Alternatives to Separation is an NGO created in connection with the closure of AC International Børnehjælp's project department on 31 December 2015. ATOS continues parts of AC International Børnehjælp's project activities. ATOS works to prevent children's unnecessary separation from their family, and to find local alternative solutions to children without care and protection within their own community. We strive to achieve deeper public and political understanding of the value of providing good care and making the right investments, so we can end the institutionalization of children worldwide.
